Gameplay[]

Bullet Hell Adventure contains 20 levels spread out across four different worlds, with every 5th level featuring a boss fight. Each level has you flying through the air while swarms of enemies come at you and attack in various ways. For the normal levels, your task is to defeat as many enemies as you can, dodge their attacks, collect the coins they drop, and survive until the level ends. In the boss levels, you simply have to defeat the boss to win. All 20 levels also contain five stars that show up at various points; collect all five of them in one run and the level is considered 100% complete. After beating a level, you can use the coins you earned to buy upgrades and become more powerful.

Worlds[]

  • Forest World: A lush area that takes place in a thriving forest and features basic low-level enemies.
  • Lava World: A volcanic wasteland that happens to also have a forest, although this one is much more barren and molten in appearance; this world introduces some more advanced enemies.
  • Ocean World: An aquatic area situated in the middle of a huge ocean, complete with a slew of pretty tough enemies.
  • Mountain World: A mountain region that has you fly through the skies above the snowy mountains, all while taking on really powerful enemies.

Enemies[]

Forest World Enemies[]

  • Horned Hornet: A small bee monster that just flies straight ahead.
  • Red Grub: A grub-like creature that slowly floats up and down, and sometimes shoots a bullet at you.
  • Huge Hornet: A bigger version of the Horned Hornet that has more health, and usually flies slightly up or down instead of straight ahead.
  • Ladybug: An aggressive bug that stays in one spot and constantly shoots bullets at you.

Lava World Enemies[]

  • Blue Beetle: A beetle monster that chases after you.
  • Teal Beetle: A less aggressive beetle monster that flies forward and sometimes shoots a bullet at you.
  • Red Bigmouth: A weird monster with a really big mouth, who sometimes fires a solid laser beam from his mouth.

Ocean World Enemies[]

  • Angry Horned Hornet: A more aggressive version of the Horned Hornet that stays in one spot and sometimes shoots a small bullet at you. Interestingly, this type of enemy usually appears in small groups that congregate near the top of the screen.
  • Blue Grub: A stronger version of the Red Grub that has more health.
  • Giant Angler: A giant anglerfish that has high health and flies straight ahead. It splits into two Baby Anglers when killed.
  • Baby Angler: A smaller version of the Giant Angler that sometimes shoots a bullet at you as it flies forward.
  • Blue Bigmouth: A more agile version of the Red Bigmouth that constantly shoots bullets at you and tries to dodge your shoots.

Mountain World Enemies[]

  • Blue Hornet: A stronger version of the Horned Hornet that sometimes shoots a small bullet at you as it flies forward.
  • Humongous Hornet: An even bigger version of the Horned Hornet that has much more health, and sometimes shoots a giant bullet at you.

Bosses[]

  • Hornet King: Encountered in level 5, this is the boss of the Forest World. He follows a cycle of attacks that aren't too hard to dodge if you're quick enough. First, he shoots five bullets at you in quick succession. Next, he shoots out a ring of eight bullets. Then he shoots a big bullet that homes in on you for a few seconds and then explodes, releasing bullets in all directions; after that, the cycle resets. Just make sure not to get too close to the Hornet King (or the big bullets he shoots), and you shouldn't have too much trouble taking him down.
  • Beetle Lord: Encountered in level 10, this is the boss of the Lava World. He follows a cycle of attacks that require fast reflexes to evade without taking damage. First, he shoots out two rings of 12 bullets, and then he immediately follows it up with a solid laser beam (aka his "Special Ray"). Next, he shoots five bullets straight upward to have them rain down on you from above, and then the cycle restarts. The most important thing about this battle is to make sure you're not directly in front of the Beetle Lord once he's finished shooting the two bullet rings, because the time between that moment and the moment when he fires the solid laser beam is so short that you won't be able to dodge the laser unless you're already out of its range.
  • Mega Shark: Encountered in level 15, this is the boss of the Ocean World. Unlike the previous two bosses, he doesn't follow a set pattern and uses his attacks at random. He randomly switches between shooting normal-sized bullets at a fast rate, and shooting a few giant bullets at a slower rate. To beat this battle, it's important to have all your attack-oriented upgrades be at relatively high levels so you can easily clear away the high-level enemies that show up during the battle so they can't make it harder for you to dodge Mega Shark's attacks.
  • The Alien: Encountered in level 20, this is the boss of the Mountain World. Similar to Mega Shark, his attacks don't follow a set cycle, and what's worse, he's also accompanied by the game's most powerful enemies, so make sure all your upgrades are close to being maxed out, if not completely maxed out already! The Alien usually shoots out rings of bullets that vary in size, but sometimes he'll also steal one of Beetle Lord's attacks, either firing a solid laser beam or shooting five bullets straight upward so they rain down from above. Even if you're strong enough to get rid of the enemies in the battle quickly, it's very vital to stay on your toes at all times as the randomness of the Alien's attacks can make this battle very chaotic!

Boss Dialogue Transcripts[]

Each boss in this game has fully voiced dialogue that takes place while their battles are going on. They are as follows:

Hornet King: Nooo...impossible...damn kid...

Mega Shark[]

Mega Shark: Let's fight.

Errors[]

  • In the Forest World, the Ladybugs' bullets are colored red and black, but in the other three worlds they're colored purple.
  • The hero's voice changes pitch at various points in the game. His normal voice is heard at the start of each level, but whenever he uses his special attack or runs out of health, his voice sounds higher pitched than normal. Conversely, during the boss dialogues, his voice is deeper and more masculine.

Trivia[]

  • The hero's dragon changes color depending on which world you're playing in. In the Forest World, the dragon is green; in the Lava World, it's dark purple; in the Ocean World, it's a lighter purple; and in the Mountain World, it's dark blue.
  • The hero's dragon's name is Dino.
  • The hero will sometimes complain if there are a lot of bullet-shooting enemies on the screen.
