Bunny Flags is a strategy defense Flash game developed by Game Launch Project and published on November 18, 2010. It was sponsored by Kongregate. The game involves a bunny soldier fighting against an army of living finger monsters called Handies.
Instructions[]
- WASD: Move around
- Mouse: Drag to aim, click to fire
- R: Activate Rage (when Rage Bar is full)
- P: Pause/Unpause
Gameplay[]
This game consists of many levels spread out across a map, each one unlocked by beating a level adjacent to it on the map. The exact objectives of each level vary depending on where the level lies on the map, but the basic goal is to outlast waves of the Handies, your nemeses. You can fight against the Handies by shooting at them with your own weapons, as well as building barricades and towers to deter them. When you or one of your towers kills a Handy, you earn money that can be used to buy more towers. Additionally, whenever you kill a Handy, you generate rage - after earning enough rage to fill up your Rage Bar, you can become Enraged and deal double damage to all enemies for a short period of time. Successfully beat a level and you earn XP, which can be spent on the Talent Tree to upgrade your skills. You also earn a rank based on how well you performed in the level and on which difficulty you played the level at.
The bunny soldier keeping Handies at bay using an array of barricades
Map Regions[]
- The Study: Levels in the Study feature a flag that you must defend from the Handies. If a Handy grabs the flag and escapes with it, the level is lost.
- The Kitchen: Levels in the Kitchen focus purely on survival; you must simply outlast the waves of Handies that come at you.
- The Garden: Levels in the Garden are similar to the Study's levels, but are much more mazelike and usually have more than one flag to defend.
Towers[]
- Barricade: Can be used to block off paths and direct Handies in a specific direction, especially when placed en masse. Costs $5 to place.
- Pistol Tower: A tower manned by a pistol-wielding bunny that shoots at Handies that enter its range. It has high range but low damage and a low fire rate. Costs $20 to place.
- Snow Tower: A tower that shoots cold blasts which don't do any damage but freeze any Handies that get hit, reducing their movement speed. It has medium range and a low fire rate. Costs $30 to place.
- Venom Tower: A tower that shoots poison at Handies, causing them to slowly lose health over time. It has medium range and a low fire rate. Costs $40 to place.
- Rocket Tower: A tower that launches rockets at Handies, dealing heavy damage to any Handy caught in a rocket's explosion. It has low range and a low fire rate. Costs $50 to place.
Weapons[]
- Pistol: A basic weapon that damages Handies at long range but has low damage and a medium fire rate. This is your starting weapon.
- Uzi: A short-ranged weapon that deals low damage but has a very high fire rate, making it great for mowing down Handies at close range. Also makes you run faster.
- Shotgun: A short-ranged weapon that deals medium damage but has a low fire rate. Is good for dealing bursts of damage at close range.
- Rocket Launcher: A mid-ranged weapon that has a low fire rate but deals heavy splash damage.
- Riot Shield: A tough shield that also works as a melee weapon. It reduces the amount of damage you take from Handies' attacks and does medium damage at close range.
Enemies[]
- Thumb: A small thumb-like Handy that has average health and has no special abilities, only damaging you at close range with melee attacks.
- Sergeant: An armored Handy that is similar to a Thumb has more health.
- Soldier: A tougher armored Handy that has even more health and sometimes shoots slow-moving projectiles towards you.
- Kamikaze: A Handy that self-destructs when you get close to it, dealing heavy damage if you get caught in the blast.
- Worm: A taller finger-like Handy that moves slowly and only uses melee attacks, but has very high health.
- Runner: An armored Handy that is similar to a Worm but has more health and deals more damage with its attacks.
- Handkenstein: A huge Handy that resembles a giant hand rather than a single appendage. It moves very slowly but has extremely high health and deals heavy damage with its melee attacks.
- Handminator: An armored Handy that is similar to a Handkenstein but deals more damage and has ludicrously high health.
