Crush the Castle Tower Defense, or Crush the Castle TD, is a game in the Crush the Castle series. Unlike the other games of the series, this one is a tower defense game where you have to defend your own castle from incoming waves of enemies.

Although Flash was discontinued on January 12 2021, Crush the Castle Tower Defense is still playable through BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint.

Plot[]

Following the events of the first Crush the Castle game, the Redvonian King lived in luxury believing that all his enemies had been killed by the attacks launched against their fortresses by his siege master. However, one of the Redvonian King's greatest nemeses, King Blutias, somehow survived and was looking for revenge. He raised a new army of soldiers and sent them to the Redvonian empire to destroy every castle they came across. Fearing the worst, the Redvonian King called in his siege master to defend the kingdom...

Gameplay[]

As a standard tower defense game, Crush the Castle TD has a set of levels where the goal is to protect the castle from the enemies that try to reach it. The enemies come in waves, spawning from a certain point and following the trail leading to the castle if there is one (if there isn't, the enemies will try to take the shortest route to your castle, so it's up to you to use your towers to create paths to slow them down). Stronger enemy types gradually appear as the level progresses. If any enemies reach your castle, they'll continuously attack the castle until they're killed; if the castle's health is completely depleted, the level is lost.

To fight off the enemies, you can use your gold to build towers and research buildings; the former will attack enemies, while the latter will provide you with upgrades to make your towers stronger. When all enemy waves have been defeated, the level is won and you earn some XP (as well as a gold medal if you managed to finish the level without letting any enemies get to your castle). Once you get enough XP to level up, you earn a skill point that can be used to upgrade research building skills on the Research Tree so that you can upgrade their skills further during levels.

Areas[]

  • Daneelly Island: A grassland area that introduces you to the game's mechanics. Contains short levels and features low-level and mid-level enemies.
  • Gurun Plains: A desert area that introduces levels that either don't have a completed path or have no path at all, as well as levels with multiple entry points. Contains somewhat longer levels and brings in some tougher enemies.
  • Tasselvania: A snowy area whose levels contain much larger maps than the ones in the previous two areas. Contains significantly longer levels and introduces even stronger enemies.
  • Minovia: A volcanic area whose levels have massive maps and often have no paths, forcing you to get creative with tower placements to keep the enemies at bay. Contains very long levels and throws in the game's most powerful enemies.
