Gameplay[]
In Don’t Look Back, the player controls a mourning person who at the beginning of the game is standing over a grave of their loved one. From there, the player must go on a fantastical and perilous journey in order to bring them back from death. On this journey, the player will have to overcome a wide variety of obstacles such as jumping over large gaps and lava, hopping across disintegrating platforms and battling against various creatures such as snakes, spiders and the occasional boss.
Once the player retrieves their loved one from the depths, they must retrace their steps all the way back into the real world and once they reach the very grave where they began their journey, they see the true version of themselves still standing over the grave and the version of the character that the player controls as well as the loved one they have rescued, disappear. The game is enjoyed by players for it’s challenging gameplay as well as it’s well told and deep story.
