Jade Wolf is a platformer game created and developed by Sedition Games in March 2009. In this game, the player controls the titular white wolf venturing in a world inspired and based on Chiang Mai and Thailand, where the creator lives. The gameplay is largely inspired by Sonic The Hedgehog, as well as the Zelda games to a lesser extent. The player must collect 12 Jade Ornaments, and use their power to send the Standing Apes back to the ancient city from whence they came.

History of Development[]
The game's About section on Newgrounds sheds some light on the development of Jade Wolf. In November 2008, the creator of Jade Wolf promised his girlfriend he'd make her a game to cheer her up. She personally liked Sonic the Hedgehog, so he used that for a bit of inspiration. He was also inspired to model the game's environment after Chiang Mai, Thailand, where he was living. He initially planned the game to have a set of levels, but later decided to make a sandbox world instead and wound up rewriting the game's engine twice. The game was finally published in March 2009.
Legacy[]
Jade Wolf has a sequel, Jade Wolf 2. It also has a demo for a threequel - Jade Wolf 3 - which was never finished.
