Megan the Fox is an endless shooting game developed by Ninja Kiwi, where you play as a fox named Megan and must survive against an onslaught of enemies for as long as you can, all while collecting gems to get equipped with upgrades.

Controls[]

  • Left/Right or A/D: Move left/right
  • Down or S: Drop through platforms
  • Z: Jump, Wall Jump (when next to a wall)
  • X: Shoot
  • P: Pause/Unpause

Gameplay[]

The game takes place within a single screen consisting of many platforms you can jump around on, as well as two trees on the sides of the screen with holes that enemies can emerge from. Enemies will continuously spawn from these holes as well as from the top of the screen, slowly increasing in frequency the longer the game goes on. Your goal is simply to survive as long as possible by killing enemies and collecting the gems they drop when killed to unlock upgrades that make you stronger. If you get hit by an enemy, you drop a few gems in addition to losing health; however, once you unlock an upgrade, you retain that upgrade even if the amount of gems you have falls below the amount of gems that was required to unlock that upgrade in the first place. The game ends once you run out of health.

Power-Ups[]

  • Heart: Restores some of your health.
  • Magnet: Temporarily lets you draw in gems from further away.

  • Blue Bird: Flying enemy that aimlessly wanders around the screen, sometimes diving randomly. Has 2 HP. Drops a random number of each type of gem when killed.
  • Red Bird: A more aggressive version of the Blue Bird that seeks you out and aims directly for you when diving. Has 2 HP. Drops a random number of each type of gem when killed.

Glitches[]

  • Sometimes, a Dog will jump so high it flies right off the screen and then comes back down several seconds later.
  • Because there is no cap on how much the intensity of the enemy spawn rate increases, the game will begin to lag after a while. The lag kicks in after about 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay and slowly worsens over time, eventually making the game literally unplayable as the game continues to run more and more slowly from the lag.
    • This issue also causes dropped gems to randomly disappear once the lagging sets in.
