On the run (also known as FFX Runner) is a shockwave flash driving and racing game that was released in March 2006 and was available to play on Officine Pixel, Miniclip and other flash game websites.

On the run takes place in a 3D semi open world environment, most of which is made up of a city area but other areas can be opened up and encountered later in the game such as a river and wide open construction site.
The main objective of On The Run is for the player to make their way through the semi open world environment by exploring and finding the correct path to take without their vehicle being destroyed or running out of fuel. There are many fuel and repair drops scattered throughout the game in order to assist the player in reaching the end.
The main obstacle in the game is the other cars that follow the player aggressively at very high speeds and try to damage them or run them off the road. These cars can be difficult to avoid for new players, but their odd patterns can soon be learned and in combination with shortcuts that can be found in the game, the player can stand a fair chance against these vehicles.
At the end of the game, the player must race to cross a train track before the guard rails come down. Upon crossing the track the player is free from hostile vehicles and they have completed the game.
Controls[]
The only controls used in On The Run are the four arrows for moving forwards, reversing and turning left and right.
