Orange Roulette is a web game published by Michael Houser for Android, GameJolt and Newgrounds on May 29, 2012.

(There was also an official remake of the game released on itch.io at April 10, 2024.)

Gameplay[]

The premise revolves around being trapped in a prison hell, where a desperate orange will play a deadly game in the hopes of getting shipped home. The player would have to choose carefully and they might just get out of this without making the floor all sticky.

The games music was composed by Amon26, Jerad H. and Tony Guziel. The webgame was originally released on Newgrounds before making its Android port. Surprisingly, Amon26 goes uncredited in the Android port for currently unknown reasons.

The game is currently taken down and no longer available on Android. The only way to get it is if you previously installed it or if you now use old APK's. The reason why it was taken off the Android app store is unknown. The last update happened in 2014.

Interesting facts[]

  • The game was released in 2012, but gained its main popularity in 2014. YouTube videos have also made a significant contribution, some of which have garnered millions of views. After that, the developer paid attention and updated the game for a while. The last update happened in 2014.
  • In one of the updates, medals were added to Newgrounds for this game.
  • In the first version, there was only a "story" mode with checkpoints (easy), and without (iron). The update added a two-player mode locally, as well as a storyline game with a AI with 6 lives, where you can choose your character.
