Pacman War is a fighting game made by Games.fs1.co.il and sponsored by 2DDreams.com. It's a twist on the classic Pac Man formula that has you square off against mobs of gun-slinging Pac Men instead of trying to out-maneuver ghosts as you navigate the mazes to collect all the Pac Dots.
Controls[]
- Arrow Keys: Move
- Space Bar: Shoot
- Ctrl: Throw grenade
Gameplay[]
Pacman War entails a campaign of eight levels (plus an optional tutorial and hidden bonus level); each level takes place in a maze full of Pac Dots. Much like a standard Pac Man game, the primary objective is to eat all the Pac Dots in the maze to advance to the next level; however, hordes of evil Pac Men will constantly appear and patrol the maze, shooting at you with their guns if you enter their line of fire (later levels will also have vehicles occasionally roll in and drop off loads of these enemy Pac Men). Thankfully, you can fight back against these Pac Men by picking up a gun of your own or by eating a Power Pellet to temporarily gain the power to eat other Pac Men. Meanwhile, getting hit by attacks from an enemy Pac Man will drain your health; the game ends if you run out of health.
Skins[]
Pacman War has a total of five skins that can be unlocked by beating the game with a high enough score. When starting a new game, you can pick any of the skins you've unlocked so far depending on how high your highest recorded score is.
- Taliban Pac: Unlocked with a high score of 2,000 points or more.
- Cop Pac: Unlocked with a high score of 4,000 points or more.
- SWAT Pac: Unlocked with a high score of 5,000 points or more.
- Gordon Pac: Unlocked with a high score of 6,500 points or more.
- Commando Pac: Unlocked with a high score of 7,300 points or more.
Weapons[]
- Pistol: Basic short-ranged weapon.
- Rifle: Long-ranged weapon that has a faster fire rate.
- SMG: Short-ranged weapon that shoots tight volleys of bullets for extra damage.
- Rocket Launcher: Extra long-ranged weapon that fires explosive missiles but has a slow fire rate.
- Grenade: Handheld explosive that can be thrown at enemies and explodes after a few seconds.
Levels[]
- Tutorial - Pac Man Boot Camp: An optional tutorial stage that can be accessed by clicking on the "Training" button on the main menu, which will begin a new game starting from the tutorial. Mostly contains basic enemy Pac Men, although a few soldier Pac Men with stronger weapons will show up occasionally.
- Level 1 - Yemen: A level containing only regular Pac Men and random thugs that aren't very dangerous.
- Level 2 - Moscow: Brings in some more heavily armed thugs with stronger weapons such as SMGs. A few of them may carry grenades.
- Level 3 - Baghdad: Contains organized gangs of thugs, as jeeps will occasionally roll in to drop off a couple thugs. Grenade-using enemies start becoming more common here, and grenades also become available for you to collect in the mazes.
- Level 4 - London: Police join the fray, with squad cars periodically deploying a few cops into the maze. Compared to previous enemies, the police are more aggressive and may occasionally wield Rocket Launchers.
- Level 5 - Berlin: The police bring out their Special Forces units in this level, including more powerful police Pac Men and even armored trucks that aggressively chase you down and try to shoot you with machine guns.
- Level 6 - New York: The enemies here are backed by SWAT Pac Men who sometimes send in a SWAT truck to drop some SWAT officers off. The SWAT Pac Men tend to wield Rocket Launchers much more frequently than the police Pac Men.
- Level 7 - Area 51: Elite government soldiers are the main threat here, periodically dropping in from a helicopter in groups of two or three. They're almost always seen carrying only the strongest weapons (i.e. SMGs and Rocket Launchers).
- Level 8 - Outer Space: Takes place in the depths of space, complete with astronaut Pac Men and alien Pac Men. All the weapons in this level have also been converted into energy guns, though this is strictly a cosmetic change.
- Bonus Level - Back from the Future: A bonus level that can be accessed after beating Level 8 if you have already beaten the game once. Situated in the middle of some sort of time rift, this level features random assortments of all the enemies from the standard levels.
Errors[]
- A sign in the tutorial stage says that Grenades first start appearing in Level 5, but in the actual game they can first appear as early as Level 2 or Level 3.
