The Majesty of Colors (also known as I Fell In Love With The Majesty of Colors) is flash point and click adventure game by Gregory Weir that was released in December 2008.

Information[]

The Majesty of Colors features a 2D pixel art graphical style and takes place in a single coastal environment. The player takes control of a large creature that lives at the bottom of the ocean and uses a single large tentacle to perform actions.

Gameplay[]

The Majesty of Colors is a non-linear game regarding its narrative, as the player’s choices throughout the game will lead them to one of a possible five endings. These choices that the player is presented with are related to how they interact with the environment and the humans around them.

The first human that the player can interact with is using a jet ski. The player, controlling the large creature’s tentacle, can either pick up the human, analyse them and place them back on the jet ski or drag them to the bottom of the ocean and drown them, all while the creature’s thoughts are displayed at the top of the screen in text.

Depending on what the player chooses to do with this human, they will either be met with more friendly humans that they can assist, such as a boat of fishermen that the creature can catch fish for using its tentacles and a young child that they can save from drowning. If the player drowned the initial human, then they will be met with an assault from airplanes and submarines that they must defend themselves from, etc.

After reaching one of the game’s ending, the player will be taken back to the menu and will be told which of the five endings they have completed.

Controls[]

The only controls used in The Majesty of Colors is the left click on a mouse, which needs to be held down to hold a human or object in the creature's tentacle.
