They Took Our Candy! is a shooter game developed by Level 1 Wizards. It centers around a group of costumed kids fighting against an army of aliens that want to steal all the candy in town on Halloween night.

Gameplay[]
You start out by assembling a team of kids to take on the aliens. Your team has four slots, and they can be filled with any of the characters that you have unlocked so far. You can have four of the same character, or you can have all different characters - each character type in the game has their own unique stats and special abilities. Initially, you only have six characters to choose from, but more can be unlocked by playing the game enough times.
The game has 13 levels in total; your goal is to try and get as far as possible without dying. The game ends when your team either is killed or destroys the final boss on the 13th level. During each level, you have to navigate your team through the town streets while collecting candy and defeating or avoiding the aliens. The candy you collect acts as currency; at the end of every level, you can spend your candy on upgrades that last for the duration of the game to make your team stronger. Once the game is over, all the candy you collected during the game is then counted as XP which goes towards reaching a higher rank. Upon reaching a new rank, you get a permanent stat boost for your team and unlock a new character.

Ranks[]
- Kiddo: No stat boost.
- Citizen: +15 to all stats. Unlocks the Cat.
- Soldier: +30 to all stats. Unlocks the Pirate.
- Commando: +45 to all stats. Unlocks the Robot.
- Captain: +60 to all stats. Unlocks the Princess.
- General: +75 to all stats. Unlocks the Rabbit.
- Hero: +90 to all stats. Unlocks the Robin Hood.
Enemies[]
Each enemy has three variants distinguished by their color; each variant in the hierarchy has more health than the last. These colors include gray aliens (the weakest), green aliens (the second-strongest), and purple aliens (the strongest).
- Grunt: A fat alien that just walks forward in a straight line.
- Slime: A blobby alien that chases after your team upon noticing them.
- Blocker: A big square-shaped alien that moves up and down to try to block your team's path.
- Gunner: A small humanoid alien that stands in one spot and shoots lasers at you with his gun.
Bosses[]
- Blocker Rider: A Purple Gunner riding a Green Blocker, encountered at the end of level 8. The Blocker runs around in random directions all over the screen while the Gunner riding on top of him sometimes shoots volleys of three lasers at you. Once they lose half their health, the Blocker starts running faster while the Gunner starts shooting five lasers per volley instead of three.
- Alien Emperor: The leader of the aliens, encountered in level 13 as the final boss. He rides around in his flying saucer and follows a two-step pattern. First, he floats high above the ground and uses his tractor beam to drop Purple Slimes into the battle. Then, he lowers himself down to the ground and shoots lasers in random directions for a while, leaving him vulnerable to your attacks before he rises up into the air and restarts the cycle. Once the Emperor runs out of health, his saucer will explode and the Emperor himself will angrily chase after you, but he has very low health and can be defeated easily.
