Thing Thing is a shooter platformer flash game developed by Diseased Productions and released on August 28, 2005.
Although Flash was discontinued on January 12 2021, Thing Thing is still playable through BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint and The Newgrounds Player.

Gameplay[]
In Thing Thing, the player controls a protagonist who is being held captive in a containment facility. The main objective of the game is to escape the facility by any means necessary, starting with killing the doctor who is visiting the protagonist’s cell. Upon taking out the doctor, the player will receive a handgun which they can use to escape their cell and eliminate any guards that stand in their way.
In the top right corner of the screen, the player’s health and ammo are visible. The player will take damage when shot by enemies and must collect health pickups from the levels in order to heal. The player can also collect ammo by picking up the weapons of the guards they have killed. If the player runs out of ammo, they must resort to using their fists, which will put them at a disadvantage when fighting armed guards. As the player progresses through the game, they will encounter more challenging enemies and even bosses such as Poseidon, an elite bioweapon.
At the beginning of the game, the player can customise the appearance of the protagonist using a wide variety of hats, hairstyles and clothing.
